10/14/04 Debbi Walton CD Release Concert
- Wow! what a way to open a venue! Celebrating the release of
"Still Your Fool". Tommy Elskes opened and then joined Debbi,
Scott Boland, Mike Cross, Bill Small, Ted Sweeney, Cole El Sala, and
Floyd Domino for 2 dynamite shows. Now that's a party!
12/11/04
Kelly Willis and Bruce Robison Holiday Show with special guests The
Greencards
- A beautiful show of holiday favorites and all the songs you always
want Kelly and Bruce to sing. The Greencards played a marvelous opening
set and then played with Kelly and Bruce all night.
12/17
& 18/04 Grand opening weekend with Christopher Cross
- Ok, I figured this would be a good show. You know "Sailing",
"Arthur's Theme" all that...... I had no idea. Christopher
brought a stellar band and rocked the house for 2 nights. This was not
to be missed. He played all the hits, great new songs and some mean
guitar solos. Very cool!
12/31/04
New Year's Eve with Hill Country All-Stars
- Debbi Walton, John Arthur Martinez, Mike Blakely and Thomas Michael
Riley, with amazing guests like Joel Guzman, Gary Craft, Ted Sweeney,
Johnny Gringo, Bill Small, Scott Boland, and many more. The only way
to ring in the New Year in the Hill Country from now on!
2/12 Tejas
to Tennesee #1
- The first of our monthly songwriter series shows hosted by John Arthur
Martinez. Special guests were Monte Warden and David Ball. What a way
to kick off the series!
2/13 Christine
Albert
- Christine's french show. She and husband Chris Gage played selections
from Christine's "Texafrance" and "Texafrance Encore".
Romantic songs in French and English. They had a great band and held
the audience captive. Fabulous!
3/6 Small
Town Ska with "I Voted for Kodos"
- We try to have a teen show every other month or so. It's part of our
mission to provide some entertainment and frankly something cool to
do for area teenagers, but I had no idea, when a kid named Victor Holk
brought us the idea for this show, just how cool it would be. Victor's
band "Save Converse" and another local teen band "Cleverint"
opened the show. Then "I Voted For Kodos" a 7 piece ska band
from Madison WI, took the stage and absolutely rocked the house. 3 horns,
tight rhthym section and a front man that knows how to work a crowd.
Great show. They'll be back, watch for them.
3/12 Tejas
to Tennessee with Daryl Mosley and Shake Russell
- Our second songwriter show had John Arthur playing host to Daryl Mosley
and Shake Russell. If you're a Texas music fan you probably know about
Shake. (if you don't, you should) Daryl Mosley was our Nashville guest
and his beautiful songs and Tennessee tenor voice was a welcome addition
to a great show.
3/18 Ray
Benson Trio
- Wow. Django's Moustache opened this show with some firey gypsy guitar
music. If you've never heard that sort of thing, you're missing out.
Then there's Ray Benson. Have you seen this guy play guitar? Wow again.
From Texas swing to jazz to country and a few stops along the way. Very
cool.
4/2
Comedy show featuring Todd Justice
- Our first comedy night was a success! I was a bit concerned with our
advanced ticket sales, but thank you to everyone who came to the show.
We had a great time. Lucas Molandes, Adrienne Harrell and Todd Justice.
This turned out to be a real deal comedy show. You used to have to drive
to Austin or San Antonio for this kind of thing. Not any more! The audience
was as funny as the performers at times. We'll be doing more of these
and hopefully getting all three of these fine performers back again.
8/13
